Jeffrey Owens

Jeff Owens, CSP, CTM, helps people move from chaos to calm and transform conflict into opportunity. His expertise comes from decades of real-world experience where communication, awareness, and the ability to influence behavior would determine the outcome of critical situations.

Jeff became Hawaii’s first police hostage negotiator and, after more than 29 years with the Honolulu Police Department, retired as a Division Commander. He later moved into private-sector executive leadership, where he led the turnaround of a failing organization, making it profitable and growing it to become the second largest of its kind in Hawaii.

Drawing on experiences ranging from life-or-death crises to the everyday challenges of organizational leadership, Jeff created The Power of Respect Framework™, a practical approach to strengthening connection and rapport, increasing influence, reducing conflict, improving decision making, and achieving better outcomes.
