Karl Mecklenburg rose from a college walk-on and 12th round NFL draft pick to a career with the Denver Broncos that included 6 Pro-Bowl and 3 Super-Bowl appearances. Considered the most versatile player in the NFL, Mecklenburg played all 7 Defensive front positions - sometimes in the course of a single game. He was selected as the NFL Lineman of the Year, AFC Linebacker of the Year and the AFC Defensive Player of the Year. Since retiring from football, Mecklenburg has been inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame and the Denver Broncos Ring of Fame.
