Scott Cooksey

Scott Cooksey is the founder and principal of Leadout Performance Group, a Tulsa, Oklahoma-based leadership advisory and performance coaching firm. He is also a professional speaker and executive facilitator known for helping business owners and leadership teams create clarity, deepen relationships, and drive performance across their organizations.

Cooksey specializes in developing high-trust, high-impact leaders through a practical blend of real-world experience, behavior-driven strategies, and compelling storytelling. He equips teams to build cultures of accountability, communicate with confidence, and navigate change with intention—creating momentum that lasts long after the session ends.

Scott spent his first career in financial services for over 15 years before shifting in 2009 to leading workshops for some of the world’s largest leadership development firms. He has delivered programs in over 41 US states, Canada, Australia and the UAE. He has worked directly with executives in industries ranging from energy and healthcare to manufacturing and professional services. In 2019, he launched Leadout Performance Group to bring a fresh, performance-based perspective to leadership development.

Scott is a sought-after keynote speaker for business associations and corporate events. As a teen, he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and later graduated with a degree in Finance / Commercial Bank Management at Oklahoma State University.


He is a certified practitioner in several leadership and behavioral assessment tools and, in 2024, earned the Certified Speaking Professional® designation from the National Speakers Association.
