Scott McKain has spent his career studying why organizations lose relevance — and building the
frameworks that prevent it. His latest book, Beyond Distinction: How Leaders Transcend the
Turbulence of an AI-Transformed World (Wiley, 2025), provides a values-driven approach for
organizations navigating a marketplace where the distance between distinction and irrelevance has never been shorter.
McKain is the author of several books on differentiation, customer experience, and organizational relevance. Create Distinction was named one of the “year’s ten best business books” by thirty major newspapers. ICONIC received the same recognition from Forbes. He has delivered more than 2,000 keynote presentations to audiences on every continent, with clients including Cisco, BMW, Fairmont Hotels, SAP, CDW, and many of the world’s most respected organizations.
He has been inducted into the Professional Speakers Hall of Fame and the Sales and Marketing Hall of Fame and is one of a select few to have received the Cavett Award—the highest honor the National Speakers Association bestows.
