Arriving in Canada as a refugee, Abbas faced the challenges of rebuilding a life in a new country, navigating a new language, culture, and identity while carrying the uncertainty that often accompanies starting over. Rather than allowing adversity to define his future, he transformed those experiences into a lifelong commitment to leadership, service, and empowering others.

Today, Abbas is a senior executive, educator, and strategic advisor with more than 20 years of experience driving organizational transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across public, private, and international sectors. As Founder and CEO of JHMJ Consulting Ltd. and Stratenix OÜ, he helps organizations align strategy with execution, build high-performing teams, and deliver meaningful results in complex environments.

Abbas holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from the University of Guelph, a Master of Professional Education in Educational Leadership from Western University, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. He also teaches at Western University, where he mentors the next generation of leaders in project management and organizational leadership.
A recognized thought leader, Abbas has presented at conferences across North America and internationally and contributed to PMI's Risk Management in Portfolios, Programs, and Projects: A Practice Guide. As President of the PMI Southwestern Ontario Chapter, he leads one of Canada's largest PMI chapters, advancing the profession through innovation, community engagement, and leadership development.
