Artis Brown

Artis Brown is a former ExxonMobil Executive Vice President and Corporate Officer with 30 years of experience leading capital-intensive, global, integrated energy businesses. He held full P&L accountability for multibillion-dollar portfolios and led complex value chains spanning manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, operations, sales, and marketing across more than 50 countries.

Artis brings expertise in business strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance, and energy transition to boards navigating growth, long-term asset strategy, capital allocation decisions, and operational performance. He has led mission-critical operations through commodity cycles, market disruptions, margin compression, and major capital project execution, consistently maintaining disciplined performance and delivering shareholder-aligned results.

As Founder and CEO of Artis Brown Consulting, he advises boards and executive teams on enterprise strategy, operational performance, and organizational effectiveness.

Artis is recognized for bringing clarity, structure, and disciplined execution to complex, asset-intensive organizations.

He is deeply committed to mentorship, leadership development, and service. He serves on the Board of Trustees for Stillman College, is a member of the Executive Leadership Council, a University of Alabama Distinguished Fellow, and previously served on ExxonMobil’s Black Employee Success Team Advisory Board.
