Ed Hart

Professional Bio

Ed Hart is a Southern California native, with 40 years of experience in:
• family business
• corporate leadership
• public speaking
• sports management
• sales and sales leadership
• nonprofit work
• strategy and coaching.

He is passionate about leading people to become their best, to find their potential, and to create a lasting positive impact on their teams, communities, and families. His focus is on adding value and serving and celebrating others. His greatest joy in his career is in finding and developing talent. 27 people whom he hired in professional baseball have gone on to leadership roles in professional and collegiate sports. Four players he scouted and signed out of college went on to play Major League Baseball.
He has been a family business and leadership coach since the 1990’s and has worked with several nonprofit organizations in developing their strategies, missions, and fundraising efforts. He serves as the Board Chair for the Institute for Community Impact (Passkeys Foundation), and as a board member on Team Kids, and Arts & Learning Conservatory.
He served as the Director for the Center for Family Business at Cal State Fullerton for 11 years, as Director of Business Development at the USC Marshall School of Business, and as a General Manager of a Professional Minor League Baseball team. He also currently is an adjunct Sports Management professor at Concordia University and UC Riverside.
He is a member of the National Speakers Association, host of the From the Hart Podcast, author of three books, “Three Runs Up”, “Just Give a Kid a Chance”, and coming out in April, “Boomer Wisdom: Lessons for the Next Generation”.
He is a grandpa to 9 boys, all under 15, and he and his wife Laurieann love travel, golf, hanging on the beach, and Dodger Baseball!
