James Lowry

James (J.R.) Lowry is an author, speaker, advisor, and the founder and CEO of PathWise, a leadership development firm that helps individuals and organizations build fulfilling careers, better managers, and stronger teams. An engineer by training, he began his career as a U.S. Air Force officer before becoming a partner at McKinsey & Company and spending two decades in senior roles in financial services, including at Fidelity Investments, State Street, and Janus Henderson Investors. A graduate of Harvard Business School, he speaks and writes on management, careers, and the changing world of work, and he hosts the Career Sessions podcast, where he explores these topics with executives, entrepreneurs, authors, and other change-makers. He is the co-author of the forthcoming book, Be the Boss You Wish You'd Had. He lives on Cape Cod with his wife.
