Mary Willcox Smith is a parenting speaker, author, and creator of the MicroStep Method®, a research backed framework on the small, emotionally charged interactions that shape children's confidence, resilience, and sense of self. A Bowdoin graduate with an MBA from INSEAD and a Certified Positive Discipline Expert, she is the author of The MicroStep Method for the Overwhelmed Parent.
Mary speaks nationally for schools, parent-education conferences, mental health organizations, and child welfare professionals. She has presented for the National Parenting Education Network, the Texas Council of Child and Adolescent Care, the Institute of Child Psychology, and independent schools including Bullis, Sycamore, and Potomac School, among others.
